Emilio Hector Gloria Fuentes, a 49-year-old immigrant from Morelos, said he is staying with some relatives in the home of a priest because they can’t return to the basement where they lived in Staten Island.
Fuentes, who works in a pizzeria, is not eligible for FEMA help because of his immigration status.
“I had my savings, in cash, in that basement. I lost them all,” he said. “A disaster like this is much worse for an undocumented person than for a United States citizen or someone with some money.”

Metro drug ring tied to Mexican cartel
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Four people are under arrest on drug charges and over 2,400 pounds of marijuana are off the streets after an eight month investigation which police say was connected to a drug cartel in Mexico known for violence.
LMPD says the arrests came after multiple search warrants were served early Wednesday at two Okolona homes - one in the 6300 block of Hackberry Way and a second in the 10100 block of Winding River Way.
In addition to the marijuana seized, Mitchell said officers also confiscated approximately $1.6 million in cash.
“The money just kept coming from every room in the house, the basement, upstairs, to first floor,” said Lt. Rich Pearson.

11 illegal immigrants arrested in human-smuggling sting PHOENIX – Authorities in Maricopa County say 11 illegal immigrants have been arrested as part of an ongoing 30-day operation aimed at human smuggling. Sheriff Joe Arpaio says nine suspects have been booked into jail on human smuggling charges. Two others were turned over to federal authorities. The arrests were made this week after sheriff’s deputies pulled over a pickup truck and found 10 illegal immigrants in the back covered with a tarp. A passenger fled the scene and escaped. Authorities say the suspects admitted to paying up to $4,000 each to be smuggled into the U.S. Arpaio says one suspect has an extensive criminal history in the U.S. and has previously been deported four times. Arpaio says 53 illegal immigrants have been arrested during the 30-day operation. |

There are already battles on both sides of the isle taking place on the
proposed legislation below - one side demanding more and other side
not wiling to concede (not yet) free willy
Meaning….. although we hear talk of the great compromise that the two major
parties would like for us to believe…… it is just not the case - not yet anyway.
It comes down to flown blown amnesty with Family Unification or an approach
that makes an attempt to patronize the lawlessness - of course the third option here
of enforcing our laws and securing the border - is what is NOT being discussed.
We are still in this battle - we must be heard - and we must stay alert and determined

Senators in GOP propose migrant reform
Moving to try to steal the immigration spotlight from Democrats, top Senate Republicans on Tuesday introduced their own version of the Dream Act to grant young illegal immigrants legal rights — though it wouldn’t give them a special path to citizenship.
Sens. Jon Kyl, John McCain and Kay Bailey Hutchison, all senior Republicans, introduced the bill as a way to restart the immigration debate and to carve out a middle ground between sending illegal immigrants home or granting them green cards, which is the intermediate step to citizenship.
“We have got to get this ball rolling,” Mr. Kyl said. “We have to have a discussion that is sensible, that is calm.”
Their bill would give young illegal immigrants a chance at legal status as long as they are earning a college degree, serving in the military or, having completed those steps, are holding down a job.
But reaction from those on both sides was swift and negative.
Immigrant rights advocates said the senators’ legislation, without a pathway to citizenship, would create a group of second-class Americans. Those who favor a crackdown on illegal immigration said any legal status would reward lawbreaking and that it is essentially an amnesty.

As we have been reporting for several years, Somos was not a real Republican group, they were a Mexican illegal alien activist group that tried to infiltrate the Republican Party to get a mass amnesty passed and stop the enforcement of American immigration laws in Arizona and elsewhere. Somos was founded and run by radical La Raza activist Dee Dee Garcia-Blase in Phoenix. The past six months, Somos had been endorsing and promoting pro-illegal alien RINO and independent candidates throughout the Southwest for this year’s elections.
The good news is they have quit. Not sure why or what they will do next, just this brief, vague statement posted on their website. Hopefully they will continue their ESL classes; their English skills are lacking.
SOMOS REPUBLICANS is Retiring From Public Spotlight in light of the RNC’s anti-immigrant platform it recently adopted – Former Latino Republican leaders have already switched their affiliation as an independent voter, and are moving to SOMOS (We Are) INDEPENDENTS. We need to go back to the good ol’ days when bipartisanship happened, and if the independent voters need to be the method for that to take place — then so be it.

There have been 7 amnesties since the 1986 IRCA amnesty to end all amnesties and yet many in the Senate and House are pushing for another amnesty. When are they going to secure our borders and when are they going to enforce our existing immigration laws. In case they have forgotten, they took/take an Oath to uphold our laws.

The amnesty of 1986 was supposed to be a “one time only” amnesty. Yet since 1986, Congress has passed a total of 7 amnesties for illegal aliens:
1. The Immigration and Reform Control Act (IRCA) Amnesty of 1986 - the “one-time only” blanket amnesty for some 2.8 million illegal aliens.
2. Section 245(i) The Amnesty of 1994 - a temporary rolling amnesty for 578,000 illegal aliens.
3. Section 245(i) The Extension Amnesty of 1997 - an extension of the rolling amnesty created in 1994.
4. The Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act (NACARA) Amnesty of 1997 - an amnesty for nearly one million illegal aliens from Central America.
5. The Haitian Refugee Immigration Fairness Act Amnesty (HRIFA) of 1998 - an amnesty for 125,000 illegal aliens from Haiti.
6. The Late Amnesty of 2000 - an amnesty for approximately 400,000 illegal aliens who claimed they should have been amnestied under the 1986 IRCA amnesty.
7. The LIFE Act Amnesty of 2000 - a reinstatement
of the rolling Section 245(i) amnesty to an estimated
900,000 illegal aliens.

Midland, TX -Violent threats against West Texas lawmen and their families now have the attention of federal agencies.
The FBI and Homeland Security are investigating threats found under a public forum on topix.com by a person disguised as “El Diablo.”
We first learned the online posts were targeting Midland city and county officials but “El Diablo” is also spreading its viral terror to other West Texas cities. The threats target specific officers as well as family members in Midland, Fort Stockton and Pecos.
In the posts, Midland County Sheriff Gary Painter, Police Chief Price Robinson, Sgt. Ben Chavez and even specific names of some of their family members are targeted.
The writer of these brutal threats says no MPD employees or family members are safe.
It doesn’t stop there; El Diablo also takes aim at the entire city. Claiming on December 25th, there will be pipe bombs in public places that will create carnage unimaginable.
In Fort Stockton the person says they are sending Special Forces with high caliber weapons to wipe out the police department.
In each case El Diablo claims racism and corruption as the motive.
Officers we spoke to say at this point, even just the validity of these posts is under investigation. But still, they tell us it’s the first time threats of this magnitude have been made and they have no choice but to take it seriously.
We spoke with numerous officers and city officials, all of which were unable to speak with us on camera because of the delicate nature of the case. Several of our sources have told us that the IP address for the posts has been traced to Juarez, Mexico. All posts on the forum have since been removed from the site.
