Corrupt Deals Behind Immigration Bill
Examples
The target of 38,000 agents doesn’t have to be met until 2021, turning a surge into a trickle. Sec. 5(b)(5), and Sec. 1102(a)
The bill funnels $150 million to nonprofits to provide legal assistance, screen for eligibility, assemble proof of residence and employment, and complete applications for family members and waivers.
A provision slipped in to extend taxpayer-financed advertising for Las Vegas casinos and other tourist attractions converted Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev., into a last-minute co-sponsor. A $1.3 billion jobs program mollified Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. (Sec. 1102(f), Sec. 1501)

Screw ObamaPhones, The New Immigration Bill has ObamaCars for Youth!
Breitbart News has learned there is a provision included in the immigration bill that could be used to give free cars, motorcycles, scooters or other vehicles to young people around the country over a period of 15 months after the bill passes. The new provision is a result of the latest addition to the Corker-Hoeven amendment, which is essentially an entirely new version of the bill.

CALL CALL CALL CALL CALL
Apparently our telephone efforts are making an impact
See two items on the impact and call to action below
1. From Numbers
Please keep phoning Senators the rest of the afternoon. The Senate switchboard and individual office phones are often jammed, so just keep trying.
Refer to the alert I sent you this morning for the toll-free number into individual Senators’ offices.
If that or the 202-224-3121 switchboard number can’t get you through, go to our directory for all DC and home-state office phone numbers and use one or more of those. It is important that the staffs of these Senators do little else but answer phone calls opposing S. 744 today.

Critics of the Democrat-led immigration rewrite are bombarding Senate offices with thousands of
phone calls, and advocates say those calls are keeping numerous wayward GOP Senators from joining the Democrats’ immigration bill.
“Five hundred [calls] yesterday, and right now, they’re just ringing non-stop,” said an upset staffer at the office of Mississippi Republican Sen. Roger Wicker, who has voted on both sides of the dispute.
Protestors have sent “hundreds or thousands” of calls to Ohio Republican Sen. Robert Portman’s Republican office, a staff member told The Daily Caller.
“That vast majority of calls today have been on that… [and] we’ve been getting calls on that for a couple of weeks,” said a staffer working for Pennsylvania Democrat Sen. Robert Casey.
The calls have stiffened the spine of GOP Senators who might otherwise bend to pressure from business groups and from influential people in their home state, such as editorial writers and clerics, said Roy Beck, executive director of NumbersUSA, which provides a free phone service for Americans who oppose the massive rewrite.

Oppose the Senate Amnesty Bill
Very soon the Senate will cast its final vote on the “Gang of Eight” immigration bill, S. 744. If you haven’t already, please call your senators’ offices and demand that they oppose passage of this destructive and irresponsible legislation to reward 11 illegal aliens with legal status and a pathway to U.S. citizenship.
Also, the bill sharply increases our already record level of legal immigration, while doubling the number of “temporary” workers allowed to take U.S. jobs. (Often these workers end up remaining permanently.) This is at a time when 20 million Americans can’t find a full-time job. The Congressional Budget Office concluded that enactment of the bill would lower wages and increase unemployment.
Unfortunately, many senators don’t seem to care about these consequences. They support this legislation as a means to build new voting constituencies or to ensure a steady flow of cheap labor for unscrupulous business interests. To make the bill more palatable they have added a number of promises for tougher border control. To understand why these promises are worthless, go to our website www.immigrationcontrol.com and read our current Blog article.
The final vote may be as soon as tomorrow. Though the Senate may pass this bill, we still have a good chance to stop it in the House. In the meantime, however, we must focus on trying to stop it in the Senate, or failing that, to keep the vote in favor as low as possible. That latter outcome will help to improve our chances in the House.
To reach your senators offices, you can dial (toll free) 888-995-8349. If that line doesn’t work, call the Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121. Tell them to vote against S. 744.
